Best Buddies (Waco Area Citizens Chapter)
Best Buddies (Waco Area Citizens Chapter)
The Waco area Best Buddies chapter matches up adults with IDD to those without IDD in a one-to-one friendship. The buddy pair is part of a larger chapter that aims to meet up once a month for a social event. There is an application process and background check conducted, with virtual periodical check-ins with participants. The friendship is a one-year commitment, and it depends on both parties to reach out to one another. If you sign up and are on the waiting list for a buddy, you can take part in group events while you wait.
