Welcome.
Caregivers need care! And they need support and companionship from people who are walking the same road.
On this page we will add listings of social and support groups for people with dementia and their caregivers.
If you know of additional social and support groups in the dementia and caregiving community, please let us know on the form at the bottom of this page. Thank you!

Gathering Fellowship Respite Care
Respite care is available during the Alzheimer’s Association’s free Gathering Fellowship caregiver support group on the first Tuesday morning of each month at First Methodist Church, 1300 Austin Avenue in downtown Waco.
Respite care participants arrive by 10:30. During the support group loved ones with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other types of dementia enjoy conversation, exercise, crafts, and outside entertainment with Gathering Fellowship volunteers. After the support group, caregivers and loved ones with dementia have lunch and play bingo together. Respite care ends at 1:30. To participate, the person with dementia must be living at home (not at a care facility) and must be able to eat and use the toilet independently.
